A formal transition of leadership

The Association of Microfinance Institutions of Zambia held its Board Handover Ceremony on 10 July 2026, bringing together AMIZ leadership, members and key stakeholders.

A key outcome was the formal handover to the newly elected Board, which will provide strategic direction and guide the Association’s work in advancing the interests of microfinance institutions in Zambia.

Leadership for the next chapter

The incoming Board brings together Jack Chinyama, James Chona, Chris Kizza, Susan Chibanga, Ivor Muluba and Chilombo Tembo.

The new leadership takes office at an important stage in the development of Zambia’s microfinance sector, which continues to support financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

Looking ahead

The Board is expected to strengthen member representation, industry advocacy, stakeholder engagement and collaboration with key institutions.

With a renewed leadership structure and a clear focus on the Association’s mandate, AMIZ is positioned to strengthen its role as the voice of Zambia’s microfinance industry.
